How long does an otoplasty procedure take?

The procedure is typically very quick. Otoplasty of both ears can normally be done in one hour.

Will I need another otoplasty procedure?

Most people see great results from their first otoplasty and do not need another surgery. The results are permanent, but a small number of people require a second operation to get the results they desire.

What is recovery from an otoplasty like?

Otoplasty is a procedure that typically causes very little discomfort for patients. You should restrict yourself from strenuous activities for several days, but you will not need to take any time off work. You will wear dressings on y our ears for 4-5 days, and you will wear a headband to protect your ears during sleep for about 4 weeks.
