San Diego Brow Lift FAQ
What will my recovery be like after a brow lift?
At Moradi M.D. in San Diego, a brow lift procedure causes minimal discomfort when compared to other invasive procedures. Patients can expect some swelling and bruising that can be aided with cold compresses and pain medication. Expect bruising to subside and disappear within 7 to 10 days. Make-up can usually be worn after three days, and your physician will remove your sutures in about a week. To ensure proper healing and maximum appearance results, limit strenuous activity for six weeks or more depending on your doctor's recommendations.
What are the benefits of endoscopic brow lift surgery?
Patients who choose the endoscopic technique will have the advantage of smaller incisions, minimal scarring, less bleeding, less hair loss, minimal numbness, and quicker recovery.
What's the difference between a classic and endoscopic brow lift?
With a classic brow lift, the surgeon uses incisions from the ear level extending to the hairline. In the endoscopic brow lift, small incisions are placed around the scalp and a tiny camera is inserted under the skin to guide the tissue alterations. An endoscopic lift is less invasive and has a shorter recover period than a classic lift.
Should I have eyelid surgery or a brow lift?
If you feel that your eyes have become tired-looking, you may be able to rejuvenate them with either procedure. Eyelid surgery is recommended when the actual upper lids are sagging due to excess skin. A brow liftis recommended when the actual eyebrows have begun to droop and cause the eyelids to appear wrinkled and tired. Or how about both! The results of each may be subtle and natural looking, but together, you can have a dramatic result that can subtract years from your look!
