San Diego Small Incision Face Lift
Our surgeons have been performing small incision facelifts for more than a decade. At our facial plastic surgery practice in San Diego, this face lift uses a 2-4 inch incision in front of the ear that lifts the lower face and upper neck. Its advantages are that it can be done under local anesthesia in the office, with lesser risk and lower cost. The healing is quick and often people can return to work or play within a day or two, although strenuous activity should be avoided for longer.
Our Innovative Approach to San Diego Facelift Procedures
In addition to performing small-incision facelifts, we have begun to study them to improve the technique and results we achieve for our patients. There are many types of small incision facelifts, including the famous S-lift--which we have long preferred for its balance of good results and short healing time--Quick lift, Delta lift, MACS lift, SMAS lift, and the Lifestyle lift. We are particularly interested in the longevity of the various lifts, wanting to give our patients the best of quick healing, but also good value for their money in a long-lasting and attractive look. Most small incision facelifts look good for up to a year, but we are interested in getting the full 7-10 year life expected of a full facelift from the small incision lift.
To achieve this, we have combined the best features of the S-lift, the MACS lift, and a SMAS lift, and produced our signature facelift, which we call the Signature Facelift. Improved lateral neck lifting and SMAS excision improve the lifespan of this lift. We also do an extended small incision facelift called FaBE lift, which includes midface lifting through a slightly longer incision with a pinch tightening of the lower eyelids. The FaBE lift is especially appropriate for those that need lifting of the mid face, from the nasolabial area to the lower lids. In addition to providing a good lift of the neck and lower face, the FaBE lift also repairs the lower lids and returns the youthful curve of the cheek.
