Endoscopic brow lift was created to eliminate the need for large incisions and scars and decrease the complications and recovery. Only small incisions are needed to allow a small microscopic camera to be passed under the skin. Using micro instruments the tissues and the muscles are released and the brow is elevated. By definition a short scar face lift uses an incision that is limited to the front of the ear and does not extend behind the ear.

It is used to improve the jowls and lower face laxity.

Based on the surgeons expertise the same small incision can be used to lift the muscles of the face by the extended SMAS face lift method. Since there are no skin elevations behind the ears or the neck the recovery is much faster with significantly less swelling and bruising.

One must keep in mind that this procedure is not suitable for those with significant neck laxity and the surgeon must be properly trained in performing facial plastic surgery.
